What Data We Process & Why?

What Data We Process & Why?

Calendar Data

Calendar Data

Sources: Google, Outlook

Why We use It?

To assess relationship strength and map the most effective warm introduction paths for your sales process.

How We Protect Your Calendar

🔒 Fully automated processing – AI analyzes meeting patterns, but no human has access to your calendar data.

🔒 Non-relevant events are ignored – If you are not an attendee or organizer, the event is not processed.

🔒 We do not store calendar details – All event data is deleted immediately after processing—only insights like “Met 3 times in the last 6 months” are retained.

🔒 Private insights, just for you – Relationship insights are available only to you, helping you engage meaningfully while keeping data private.

Contact Data

Sources: Gmail, Outlook, Linkedin

Why We use It?

To import, enhance, and structure your professional network

To merge duplicate entries and provide a clean, organized view of your contacts.

How We Safeguard Your Contacts?

🔒 Your personal contacts remain confidential – Private names (e.g., “Dad,” “Best Friend,” “Doctor”) are never shared.

🔒 Only verified public details are visible – If a contact is matched to a publicly available profile, only that information is displayed.

🔒 No open access to your contacts – Other users cannot browse your connections unless a mutual introduction opportunity exists.

🔒 All personal contact details stay private.

Google API Services Disclosure

Google API Services Disclosure

Scuba integrates with select Google API Services to enhance your experience by analyzing your communication patterns and surfacing meaningful contact insights. This integration is strictly limited in scope and complies with Google’s API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What We Access

With your explicit consent via OAuth, Scuba accesses:

  • Gmail metadata (headers only — including sender, recipient, subject line, and timestamps; we do not access, read, store, or process email bodies or attachments).

  • Google Calendar metadata (event titles, times, attendees — no modification or event creation permissions).

These permissions are used solely to analyze your interaction frequency with contacts across email and calendar, in order to generate insights about relationship strength or communication warmth.

Purpose and Limited Use Compliance

We use the data exclusively to provide visible, user-facing features inside Scuba — specifically, contact intelligence and relationship analytics. We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or monetization of any kind. Scuba’s data usage strictly adheres to Google’s Limited Use policy.

No Unauthorized Human Access

Scuba does not allow human access to your Gmail or Calendar data unless:

  • You explicitly authorize it (e.g., during a support case),

  • It is necessary for security (e.g., to investigate abuse),

  • Or we are required to do so by law.

Any such access, if ever required, is logged and subject to strict internal controls.

User Consent and Control

You are asked to consent to these specific data accesses through the Google OAuth flow. You can revoke Scuba’s access at any time from your Google Account at: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
